Do you sometimes feel like a ping pong ball, being hit around by external circumstances. We as individuals and societies are taught to be at the mercy of what is “out there” versus what is “within you.” We told what is material is more “real,” than one’s own subtle energy or spirit. To navigate through our extreme materialistic worldview can be extremely challenging. We often feel dis-empowered, separate, stressed, and anxious at the lack of control we have. Also, the dominant worldview is life is about suffering and punishment. Many humans walk around in a dark cloud of negative mind chatter and self bullying. Also, with our predominant current culture wars, there is a lot hate, racism, and external bullying out there for people that are you consider different from you. It is a pretty mean world out there.

To see the light can be a hard task. Many have lost our sense of reverence and the sacred. With the Harmonia Institute and within my own personal spiritual journey, I am seeking solutions for myself and the world to become sacred and whole again. Recently, I was reintroduced to the power of Lucid Dreaming and Tibetan Dream Yoga on Open Minds with Regina Meredith on Gaia TV. She had an incredible interview, Lucid Dream Teacher, Charley Morley. All his work really resonated with me ( I feel I was a Tibetan Monk in a past life) and I become totally inspired to navigate through Lucid Dreaming and Dream Yoga. For my own healing and expansion. In kind then to share with the world by creating a series of Harmonia Dream Art and Yoga workshops.

For me, the main message of Lucid dreaming is your inner world is an epic and powerful healing force. This is a fertile ground of expansion, sanity, and well-being. As well when you go within via dreaming in day or the night, you are empowered by internal choices and manifestation. Like we say at the Harmonia Institute, your inner world is your final frontier. Your inner world is a place of power. Your dreams are portals into your subconscious and when you lucid dream you learn how to awaken in that state.

I am still doing research, but here is the beginning of the tenants of Dream Yoga

  • Look through the lens worldview, that the Universe is full of love, unity, and compassion
  • Know that your unconscious is much more powerful than your conscious mind
  • Be motivated to engage and become friends with your unconsciousness
  • Know that everything in your dream is you. Meaning all dream characters, all objects, and the environment are you
  • To reprogram your subconscious mind from trauma and patterning, dream time is more potent to plant seeds of new neural pathways and connections. Rewiring your mind.
  • Lucid Dreaming and Dream Yoga aim is to help you find and savor freedom and liberation.

Harmonia Lucid Dream Meditation Practice
If you suffer from social anxiety/phobia this is a great tool for you to feel more unity consciousness.

Today on ocean meditation I did a lucid daydream yoga practice and it was profound and liberating. I began with the intention of lucid dreaming on my 10,000 steps of gratitude meditation. I grabbed my power stones rose quartz, malachite, and lapis lazuli. Anointed myself with the essential oils, Clarity Sage and Bergamot. As I ventured out, I recognized every human, every dog, every critter, every blade of grass, every tree, every thing was me. I silently pointed at each human that passed my path and said there I am. I pointed at the old man, there I am as a pointed at the toddler. My separation dissolved and for a moment in time I tasted the nectar of unity consciousness. And I embraced that I was an empowered co-creator connected with it all.

He is the co-creator of a new holistic approach to conscious sleeping and lucid dreaming called "Mindfulness of Dream and Sleep". This new approach includes practices which aim to help us sleep better, dream more lucidly and wake up with more awareness, clarity and joy!

Here is a List of 15 of the most effective essential oils to promote lucid dreaming
:
From HowToLucid.com

Lucid dreaming has long been a skill to be cultivated for spiritual seekers. You can use essential oils to boost your lucid dreams and make things more vivid, here’s how!

There are numerous ways to use essential oils. One way is to use a diffuser to have the healing effects of the oils spread more readily around your home. Another possibility is putting a few drops in the palms of your hand and inhaling for at least thirty seconds. (Some also like to apply essential oil to the soles of their feet.) It is also possible to use them in a bath, add them to lotion or moisturizer, or apply them with a compress.

It’s also recommended to keep a journal each night to record how each oil or combination of oils works for you. Recording how your body responds to different oils along with recording your dreams from each night will help in making lucid dreaming a more common occurrence.

1: Rose oil has long been associated with meditation and prayer and is widely regarded as the most important essential oil for aiding lucid dreams. Rose oil is known for bringing about a deeply relaxed state and is often mixed with other essential oils for maximum results. With its intoxicating scent, it’s no wonder that it is a favorite for lucid dreamers.

2: Jasmine: The sweet aroma of jasmine is also popular with lucid dreaming enthusiasts. This essential oil has a relaxing effect that induces sleep and helps bring about a calm mental state that is helpful for lucid dreaming. Overall, jasmine alleviates stress on the mind and body. Some say that it also stimulates romantic and sexual feelings and it is particularly helpful for women with sexuality issues to be worked through.

3:Sandalwood has been used for centuries in sacred rituals and is considered holy by many people of faith. This essential oil that is extracted from a sandalwood tree has many healing properties as it has an anti-spasmodic effect on the body. Sandalwood essential oil also aids in alleviating stress on the mind, body and soul.

4: Lavender essential oil is also touted for its medicinal properties. Not only does it help relieve stress, it is also believed to have profound effects on neurological disorders. With such a powerful effect on the brain, it isn’t surprising that this essential oil helps puts practitioners in a receptive state for lucid dreaming.

5: Chamomile: This is another excellent choice for using before bed to allow the body to relax enough into a state that is conducive to lucid dreaming. It has a subtle floral aroma and has been used for centuries for a variety of medicinal purposes. Soldiers were even known to use it for courage before going into battle. The restful properties of chamomile are a natural fit for lucid dreaming seekers.

6: MugwortMugwort is used for cardiac stress relief. It also calms the mind and overall body to prepare for lucid dreaming. Used in Eastern medicine for thousands of years, mugwort is commonly used right before bed for lucid dreams as well as for improved dream recall and as a creativity enhancement.

7: Cloves come from the unopened buds of the evergreen tree and they are also extracted for essential oils. With its spicy aroma, it is a favorite for many before going to bed. It contains eugenol, a powerful ingredient, that helps the process.

8:Anise essential oil is powerful and should be used in moderation. Sometimes known as sweet cumin, it has been carefully regulated in some countries. It has a scent similar to fennel and it has long been used to treat conditions like nervous palpitations or anxiety. Its relaxing properties made it another addition to this list.

9: Lemon Balm .Also known as Melissa essential oil, lemon balm oil makes the list as another recommended relaxant. Lemon balm is another oil that should be used sparingly. With its pleasant citrusy scent, it is often used to stimulate a more active dream state. Some say it is the most effective for bringing on prophetic dreams.

10: Sage Clary oil is used as an anti-anxiety and anti-depression aid . It promotes a general feel of wellbeing and it is another important oil for deep relaxation. It increases visualization ability and it helps with gaining deeper insight while dreaming. Clary sage oil has a pleasant nutty aroma adding to its appeal.

11: Bergamot essential oil is extracted from the lesser known type of citrus–bergamot. This is a great choice for lucid dream seekers because it is known to be a sedative that helps the body relax and let go from a stressful day for a good night of sleep. Bergamot essential oil promotes dopamine and serotonin release which is perfect for the lucid dreaming state of bringing conscious while dreaming.

12: Juniper berry essential oil has a pungent pine scent. Some even say that it reminds them of the aroma of pepper. It’s another oil known for its relaxing ingredients, but this oil is particularly recommended for people who are attempting to work through inner trauma through lucid dreaming. When inhaled, it has a healing effect on the brain which makes it a favorite among essential oil fans.

13: Frankincense: This essential oil is known for awakening consciousness. It’s recommended for prayer and meditation and it is said to be one of the most powerful oils for elevating one’s self to a higher plane. It has an “earthy” scent and many people are drawn to it for this quality. Frankincense also has a slight fruity aroma which makes it more gentle smelling. It’s a powerful agent for lucid dreaming and you won’t want to miss trying this one.

14: Palo Santo oil has an uplifting and spiritual healing quality. It is often paired with frankincense for the pleasant combination of scents. Many use this oil for grounding and protection. Known as one of the spiritual oils, it is a natural choice for lucid dreaming work.

15: Mandarin: This citrus essential oil is also known as tangerine essential oil. It blends well with other citrus scents for maximum effectiveness. Mandarin essential oil promotes overall wellbeing as well as possesses sedative qualities. A deep, relaxed state is essential for productive lucid dreaming work, and relaxants are the most important quality in choosing an essential oil. Mandarin oil provides another choice to use on its own or in combination with other oils.
We hope these tips have been helpful for deciding which oils are most effective for aiding your spiritual work. This type of deep work is one of the most powerfully healing techniques leading to empowerment. May your lucid dreaming journey bring you greater health and wellness and may these essential oils help you along the way.

Rasmussen is an award-winning professional painter, who has been represented in galleries in both San Francisco and Los Angeles. As well as Lisa’s work has been in numerous solo and group exhibits and publications. For her painting is a very visceral, physical, and metaphysical process. Rasmussen’s paintings have been called abstract expressionism, with a spiritual twist. Her paintings reflect her holistic worldview and her deep connection with the natural world. For Rasmussen, art making is a transcendental experience. When she paints, Rasmussen taps into a force greater than herself; a force that creates through her. Each painting is a product of her dance with divinity. Through her process she hopes to invoke in herself and the viewer a deeper connection to the world within and around us through reflection and inspiration. Early on Lisa developed a thirst for travel and distant cultures. A key conceptual element of her artistic process is the study and travel to ancient cultures and sacred sites around the world. Some of her travel adventures include Nepal, Greece, Egypt, Peru, Ireland, and Brazil. She has also lived and taught English in the mountains of South, China, as well as she had studied antiquities, the Art of the Renaissance, and Ceramics in Florence, Italy.

Rasmussen is also known as a pioneering and passionate arts educator. For many years, she has taught art to residents of under-served, at-risk communities. In 2006, she created the Transformative Art Program at a mental health institute in Oakland, CA for emotionally traumatized youth, ages 5-14. Her art therapy program to create public youth art installations and gallery exhibits garnered awards, grants and media attention.

Rasmussen worked as a fine arts consultant at the prestigious Merrill Chase Gallery in Chicago and The Weinstein Gallery in San Francisco. She also managed The Red Door Gallery & Collective, a grassroots art-reach gallery in Oakland, CA. Rasmussen earned her BA in Sculpture and Ceramics and her MFA in Arts and Consciousness from John F. Kennedy University in Berkeley, CA. She earned several academic awards, including Graduate Student of the Year, in 2008, and Alumni of the Year, in 2013.
